International recruitment agency engages with pinnacle as new letting gathers pace

A specialist recruitment company, which sources fully-qualified teaching staff from the uk and overseas for uk schools, is the latest business to move into pinnacle leeds, the city centre’s tallest office and retail building.


Fast-growing Engage Education, which is expanding on the back of a growing demand among British schools for talented teaching staff, has taken 1,300 square feet of office space on Floor 10 of the Pinnacle.

The letting, at £21 a square foot, means that the 5,100 square feet Floor 10, has been fully let in the last five months.

Engage, which also has a separate division, Engage Construction, serving the UK construction industry, has re-located from No 1 Leeds, Whitehall Road, where it had rented 315 square feet for the last three months.

Head of Education for Engage’s Leeds office, Tom Haygarth, says: “We have relocated six staff and plan to expand our headcount to 20 within the next 18 months.

“We've chosen to move to Pinnacle because of its prestigious location, dynamic architecture, larger office space and the potential for expansion within the property. All of these factors combined create an energetic and productive work environment for a growing business like ours.”

The floor became available after transport design solutions business, Steer, Davies & Gleave, relocated to Floor 5 after its refurbishment as part of the investment programme.

Tom Haygarth adds that Engage is finding the quality of overseas teachers is constantly improving, and the demand from UK schools for international teachers is still rising.

He says: “We are busier than ever, and are leading the charge in moving away from traditional recruitment methods and embracing social media and emerging technology for sourcing new teachers. This allows us to connect with the worldwide teaching community more effectively. All of our teaching talent are fully-qualified, highly-motivated and pre-selected from the best universities in the UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand.”

Among other Pinnacle office occupiers are Optimisa Research, restructuring and recovery business, Schlumberger, FRP Advisory; actuaries, Barnett Waddingham; highway consultants, Steer Davis Gleave, and HM Courts & Tribunal Service.

Retail and leisure tenants in the Pinnacle Podium include Joy, Superdrug, Moss Bros, Next, Pret a Manger, Wish, Greggs, Roxy Lanes and Tesco Express.
